Bulletin: SENSational Ride for Mental Health presented by Xerox set for July 23

OTTAWA – The Sens Foundation announced today the SENSational Ride for Mental Heath, presented by Xerox, will take place at the Ottawa Senators Strength and Conditioning Centre at Scotiabank Place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.

 
Held in support of the Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health, the event will see 100 participants compete in a stationary bike challenge. Each of the qualifying participants will have 30 minutes on a stationary bike to accumulate as much distance as posssible.

The first 100 entrants who register and raise $500 or more for the SENSational Ride for Mental Health, presented by Xerox, will have the opportunity to participate in the riding challenge. In addition to the fundraising opportunity, participants will get an exclusive opportunity to train inside the team gym of the Ottawa Senators.

The top three distance riders in the event will receive a Daniel Alfredsson Ottawa Senators jersey and two tickets to the Senators home opening game of the 2009-10 regular season. All event qualifiers will receive a SENSational Ride for Mental Health t-shirt, water bottle and photo of Alfredssson.

Riders who raise $1,000 or more for the event will be invited to a special VIP and media event, while the top fundraiser for the event will receive two passes to the VIP and media event, two Alfredsson Ottawa Senators jerseys and four suite tickets to a 2009-10 Senators regular season home game.
