by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today announced plans for their third annual Faceoff Fieldtrip, presented by Scotiabank, which will open the doors of Scotiabank Place to more than 160 classes and 4,700 students and teachers on Thursday, March 1. Classes registered for this event, which provides an opportunity to learn about the science of hockey and watch the Senators practice, via the Sens@School education program, in partnership with the Sens Foundation. They were later invited to attend the Faceoff Fieldtrip free of charge.

Beginning at 11 a.m., team employees and special guests will hold discussions and demonstrations on a variety of hockey-related subjects, including the elements of science on display during an NHL game. The Senators will then take to the ice for practice shortly before noon.

The event will be hosted by Gord Wilson from Team 1200 Radio and Sens TV, along with Kimberly G.
