Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will open the doors to Scotiabank Place at 8 a.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to Scotiabank Place, as Ottawa Food Bank and Kanata Food Cupboard will be on hand to accept food and donations to help stock their cupboards for the upcoming fall season. Fans will then get the chance to watch the Senators’ game-day skate, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Fan Fest begins outdoors on the Gate 1 plaza at 8 a.m. with a number of interactive components from the GM Sens Street Tour. The Sens Foundation will offer the MasoniCh.I.P child identification program free of charge to interested parents and children, while entertainers such as jugglers, balloonists and face painters will join the festive atmosphere.
The Senators will launch the grand opening of The Sens Store at Scotiabank Place, featuring savings on Senators merchandise and apparel. In addition, The Sens Store will be selling new and used Senators equipment in the Gate 1 plaza tent. The annual equipment sale will include items such as skates, gloves, sticks, shafts, padding and more.
Individual game tickets for October and November matches will be on sale at the Scotiabank Place box office, beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets can also be purchased by visiting www.CapitalTickets.ca, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d’Orleans or at any Ottawa Sports Experts location.
Free parking is available for those fans attending Fan Fest at Scotiabank Place until 2 p.m. in lots 5, 6 and 9. Festivities from will wrap-up at approximately 1:30 p.m.
