Spartacat, the Senators’ ambassador of fun, will open the Scotiabank Place doors at 9:30 a.m. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item as the Ottawa Food Bank and Kanata Food Cupboard will be onhand to accept food and monetary donations to help stock their supplies for the upcoming fall season. Fans will then have the opportunity to watch the Senators take to the ice at 10:30 a.m. for their morning skate in preparation for their game later that evening against the Montreal Canadiens.
Fan Fest begins outdoors at the Gate 1 plaza at 9 a.m. with a number of interactive components from the Sens Street Tour, while entertainers such as jugglers, balloonists and face painters will join the festive atmosphere. Also at Gate 1, the Senators will hold their annual used equipment sale. A limited quantity of gloves, skates and practice jerseys will be available. There will not be any used player sticks available for sale this year.
Senators ticket representatives will be available throughout the duration of Fan Fest to discuss ticket package options and assist any fans interested in purchasing ticket packages for the 2009-10 season. The arena bowl will be open to the public should fans wish to select their seat(s) in person for ticket purchase. Those buying a new ticket package or upgrading their current package during Fan Fest will be entered into a draw to win a gallery-level suite for one 2009-10 Senators regular-season home game.
Free parking is available to fans attending Fan Fest at Scotiabank Place in lots 5, 7 or 9. Fan Fest will conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m.
The Senators will offer six opportunities, including Fan Fest, for fans to take in a Senators gameday skate free of charge through the Sens Gameday Experience presented by Esso program this season.
