OTTAWA - Following their 6-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday, the Ottawa Senators reassigned centre Josh Hennessy to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
The 21-year-old Hennessy received his second emergency call-up of the season on Dec. 29, playing four games since then. In a total of six games with the Senators, Hennessy has recorded four shots on goal and averaged 6:13 of ice time per game.
Binghamton's next game is Friday, Jan. 5, when they host the Toronto Marlies. The Senators are in seventh place in the AHL's East Division with 11 wins, 21 losses and three overtime losses for 25 points.
