OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today reassigned right-winger Jeff Heerema and centre Serge Payer to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators
This was the second emergency call-up of the season for the 27-year-old Payer. In five games with the Senators this season he has recorded no points, four shots on goal and averaged 7:00 of ice time.
The 26-year-old Heerema did not dress for the Senators game against Atlanta after being recalled Sunday morning.
Binghamton's next game is on Friday, Jan. 5, when they host the Toronto Marlies at 7:05 p.m. The Senators are in seventh place in the AHL's East Division with 11 wins, 21 losses and three overtime losses for 25 points.
