Bulletin: Senators request Hasek return for examination and treatment

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - Ottawa Senators general manager John Muckler announced today, following a conversation with Dominik Hasek, that he decided to bring back the goaltender to Ottawa for examination and treatment by the club's doctors and training staff.

Hasek sustained a slight strain to the adductor muscle group while playing at the Turin Winter Olympics for the Czech Republic against Germany on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Muckler also indicated that Hasek will no longer play in the Olympic Games in Turin.

The club will have an update on the situation once Senators' medical staff have completed the examination.
