Bulletin: Senators reduce training camp roster by 16 players

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators reduced today their training camp roster by 16 players.


Fifteen players were assigned to attend the club’s American Hockey League’s training camp, which opens Monday, Sept. 22, at Binghamton’s Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. One player, defenceman Ben Wright, will return to his junior club, the Western Hockey League’s Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The group includes two goaltenders: Kevin Desfossés, Mitch O’Keefe; eight defencemen: Mitch Ganzak, Tomas Kudelka, Guillaume Lépine, Brandon Roach, Derek Smith, Chris St. Croix, Geoff Waugh, Ben Wright; and six forwards: Kaspars Daugavins (LW), Denis Hamel (LW), Chaz Johnson (RW), Mick Lawrence (RW), Shawn Weller (LW) and Jeremy Yablonski (RW).

The Senators camp roster is now comprised of 38 players: four goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 24 forwards.
