The Ottawa Senators today recalled forward Erik Condra
from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. This will be the first National Hockey League recall for the native of Trenton, Mich., who was Ottawa’s seventh-round pick (211th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Condra, 24, is second on the B-Sens in scoring with 46 points on 17 goals, 29 assists. He has also recorded 28 penalty minutes and is a +19 in 54 games with the B-Sens this season. The goals and points totals have both surpassed his marks from his AHL rookie season in 2009-10, when he scored 11 goals and added 27 assists in 80 games.
Prior to joining Binghamton, Condra played four seasons with University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, where he scored 48 goals and added 110 assists for 158 points in 159 career games. He served as team captain during his senior season at Notre Dame in 2008-09.
