OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today reassigned right-winger Patrick Eaves to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
The Fairbault, Minn., native was called up on an emergency basis on Thursday, Nov. 24 to replace Chris Neil. Eaves recorded his second goal of the season, had five shots on goal and was a plus-1 in the Sens 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Nov. 25. Eaves also played against the Boston Bruins on Nov. 26.
The 21-year-old has now played six games with the Senators this season, recording two goals, one assist and a plus-2 rating while averaging 11:03 of ice time.
In 13 games with Binghamton this season, he has three goals and seven assists, a minus-5 rating and eight penalty minutes.
The B-Sens are sixth in the East Division with six wins, 11 losses, two overtime losses and one shootout loss for 15 points. Binghamton returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 30, with an 11:15 a.m. game in Norfolk, Va. against the Admirals.
