Bulletin: Senators re-sign veteran defenceman Richardson

OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray announced today the club re-signed defenceman Luke Richardson to a one-year, two-way contract.

The Ottawa native first signed with the Senators in August 2007, recording two goals, seven assists and 41 penalty minutes in 76 games during the 2007-08 campaign. Richardson recorded his 200th career NHL point with a goal and played in his 1400th career NHL game.

In 1,415 career NHL games, he has scored 35 goals, added 166 assists and recorded 2,053 penalty minutes. The defenceman has added eight assists and 130 penalty minutes in 69 career NHL playoff games.
