OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today re-assigned forward Corey Locke to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Locke, 26, was recalled to Ottawa for the first time on Jan. 12 and recorded his first National Hockey League point, an assist, in Ottawa’s 6-4 victory over the New York Islanders on Jan 13. The Toronto native has one point and no penalty minutes in three games with the Senators this season.

Locke currently leads the AHL in scoring with 55 points on 15 goals and 40 assists in 38 games with the B-Sens. He was recently named to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2011 AHL All-Star Classic for the fifth time in his career (2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010).

The B-Sens, in fifth place in the AHL’s East Division with a 21-18-2-2 record and 46 points, next see action on Wednesday, Jan. 19, when they visit the Albany Devils.
