The Ottawa Senators Power Patrol will be at Gate 1 of Scotiabank Place at 8 a.m. to hand out free Tim Hortons coffee and timbits to those waiting to purchase playoff tickets (first-come, first-served). Spartacat, the Senators ambassador of fun, will also be on site to entertain fans and children. The first 200 fans in line for tickets will receive Senators car flags, while all persons in attendance will receive a free All In, All Red window cling courtesy of Scotiabank.
The Team 1200 radio will be broadcasting live from Scotiabank Place as the Senators prepare for a 2 p.m. game in Uniondale, N.Y., against the Islanders. The Sens Store will also be open for fans, with all items being offered at a special one-day discount of 30 per cent off.
The Red Zone plaza party outside of Gate 1 returns to Scotiabank Place for the playoffs, with the tent acting as the Molson True Fan Headquarters for pre-game activities. The party kicks off two hours before each playoff home game on weekdays and three hours prior to each home game on weekends. Food and drinks will be available, while live bands will keep Sens Army faithful entertained. There will be a kids’ interactive area for the younger Sens fans, including a face-painting booth. The party will continue in the Molson Canadian True Fan Headquarters following each game.
The Red Zone will open for the first time prior to Ottawa’s final home game of the regular season on Saturday, April 10, when they take on the Buffalo Sabres. With team captain Daniel Alfredsson
on pace to reach 1,000 career games on April 6, the team is planning to recognize Alfredsson with a celebratory tribute prior to the April 10 game. Each fan in attendance will receive a free commemorative T-shirt in recognition of the event.
