On-sale features 4 games at 40% off with tickets as low as $8.28 (plus taxes)
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that tickets for their first 17 regular-season home games, which run until the end of December, go on sale Saturday, Sept. 16, at 10 a.m. The club also unveiled its promotional lineup for the season, which includes season-long tickets available for just $13.79 a game (plus taxes) in the Coca-Cola Zone and starting at only $25 a game (plus taxes) in the GM Power Seats. In addition, promotional nights include Fan Nights with tickets at 40% off, three games with special kids pricing and focus, McDonald's â Family Games, and many giveaway nights.
The club also announced that tickets for their three pre-season home games will be 40% off and go on sale Saturday, Aug. 12 at noon. With the discount, Coca-Cola Zone tickets will start at only $8.28 (plus taxes).
Nearly one million people visited Scotiabank Place arena for Senators hockey in 2005-06 as the club sold out an unprecedented 42 of 50 pre-season, regular-season and playoffs games. A total of 975,344 fans helped Ottawa post a club-record 33 regular-season sellouts while selling out all three pre-season and six playoff games for a total average of 19,474 per game.
Highlights in addition to the club's promotional schedule for the 2006-07 season will include the much-anticipated return of the Calgary Flames (Oct. 12), Vancouver Canucks (Jan. 18) and Edmonton Oilers (Feb. 20), who last visited Ottawa during the 2003-04 season. Young phenom Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Calder Trophy winner Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals will each make two visits to Ottawa on March 6 and April 5, and Jan. 16 and 30, respectively.
The Senators home-opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Oct. 5 will see all fans receiving a Sens Army car flag and pocket schedule.
The Senators are introducing four Fan Nights with all tickets 40% off starting at just $8.28 plus taxes. The featured games are on Nov. 20, against the Minnesota Wild; Jan. 3 vs Buffalo, Jan. 9, when Zdeno Chara and the Boston Bruins visit; and versus the Washington Capitals on Jan. 16.
The Senators are set to welcome young fans during Kids' Opening Night on Oct. 7, when the Buffalo Sabres visit as they introduce three games with special kids pricing and focus. Tickets for kids 16 and under will be 40% off (excluding the Coca-Cola Zone and GM Power Seats) for the following games: Kids' Opening Night on Oct. 7 vs. Buffalo; Kids Days on Jan. 1 vs. Atlanta, and Jan. 6 vs. New Jersey. The first 2,500 kids will also receive a free Sens Army paper helmet and wristband at each game.
The popular McDonald's â Family Games return with 10 games this season. Fans can purchase a ticket starting from just $21.37 (plus taxes) and will also receive a voucher for a free Big Macâ and small fries at a participating Ottawa-area McDonald's: Oct. 21 vs. New Jersey, Nov. 4 vs. Carolina, Nov. 30 vs. Florida, Dec. 2 vs. Tampa Bay, Dec. 19 vs. Boston, Dec. 21 vs. Tampa Bay, Jan. 27 vs. Boston, Feb. 24 vs. Buffalo, Feb. 28 vs. Carolina, March 15 vs. New York Islanders.
There will be 10 GM Player Poster Giveaways this season when the first 10,000 fans will receive a free Senators player poster for the following games: Oct.19 vs. Colorado, Nov. 13 vs. Montreal, Dec. 27 vs. New York Islanders, Jan. 7 vs. Philadelphia, Jan. 18 vs. Vancouver, Feb. 8 vs. Montreal, Feb. 17 vs. Atlanta, Feb. 20 vs. Edmonton, March 6 vs. Pittsburgh and March 27 vs. Boston.
Special pricing will be available to fans on all Sens Army merchandise as part of Sens Army Nights vs. Toronto on Oct. 26, Feb. 3 and March 8. Discounts will be available at Sensations and the kiosks at Scotiabank Place.
The season wraps up with two Fan Appreciation Nights: March 30 against Montreal and April 5 with Pittsburgh.
Other special nights at Senators games include: Magnetic Schedule Night on Oct. 12, Minor Hockey Night on Nov. 18, Food Drive Night on Nov. 20, Team Photo Giveaway and Toy Drive on Dec. 9, Bell Capital Cup Night on Dec. 29, Hockey Day in Canada on Jan. 13, and Canadian Forces Appreciation Night on Jan. 30.
