Eaves plays first NHL game in 4-2 win over Montreal, Oct. 11

OTTAWAThe Ottawa Senators cancelled the emergency recall on right-winger Patrick Eaves following the club's 4-2 win over the Canadiens in Montreal on Tuesday. Eaves rejoins the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League

Eaves, 21, played in his first NHL game against the Canadiens seeing 11:25 of ice-time over 14 shifts.

The Fairbault, Minn. native joined the NHL club replacing centre Mike Fisher, who suffered an upper-body injury in the first period of Ottawa's 6-5 shoot-out victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Corel Centre on Monday, Oct. 10.

Eaves was Ottawa's first-round pick, 29th overall, in the 2003 NHL entry draft.
