Bulletin: Senators at Florida game Wednesday to be available via NHL Centre Ice

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - In conjunction with the National Hockey League, the Ottawa Senators have announced that Wednesday’s 7:30 p.m. road game against the Florida Panthers will only be available to subscribers of the NHL Centre Ice and GameCentre Live packages in the Ottawa region (and throughout Canada).

NHL Centre Ice is a digital television (and web-based) package which offers its subscribers access to out-of-market NHL contests. When the Senators unveiled their 2011-12 broadcast schedule last August, Wednesday’s game at Florida was the only regular-season game not scheduled to be televised. Now it is being offered to digital TV and online Centre Ice subscribers.

The NHL will use the Panthers’ scoreboard feed from the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., to provide video coverage of the game. It will be accompanied by audio from the Panthers radio broadcast. As with all regular-season Senators contests, the game will also be available on radio via TEAM 1200. CKOI 104,7 fm will not be broadcasting Wednesday’s game.
