The Ottawa Senators today assigned centre Peter Regin
to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Regin has recorded one assist and two penatly mintues in five games with the Senators since his third recall of the season on March 4. He made his National Hockey League debut (becoming only the fifth player born in Denmark to do so) on Jan. 20 vs. Washington. In 11 games this season with the Senators, Regin has one goal and one assist with two penalty minutes.
In his first season with the B-Sens, Regin has scored 15 goals and added 23 assists while recording 38 penalty minutes in 46 games
Regin was Ottawa’s second third-round pick, 87th overall, in the 2004 NHL entry draft.
The Binghamton Senators (35-23-5-3) are next in action this evening when they host the Norfolk Admirals.
