The Ottawa Senators today assigned left-winger Nick Foligno
to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Foligno was recalled by the Senators for the third time this season on Jan. 29. During his most recent recall, he scored once and added an assist while collecting four penalty minutes in six games. In 37 total games with the Senators this season, he has recorded six goals, three assists, 16 penalty minutes and a +1 rating.
In 17 games with the B-Sens, the 19-year-old has one goal, nine assists, 10 penalty minutes and a +1 rating. He was Ottawa’s first-round pick, 28th overall, in the 2006 NHL entry draft.
The B-Sens occupy fifth place in the AHL’s East Division with 56 points from 24 wins, 19 losses, four overtime losses and four shootout losses. The club’s next game is Wednesday, Feb. 13 when they visit the Albany River Rats.
