Bulletin: Senators assign Elliott to AHL’s Binghamton

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators today assigned goaltender Brian Elliott to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. Martin Gerber, who suffered a pulled leg muscle at practice on Friday, Oct. 24, will dress and back up Alex Auld for Ottawa’s game on Oct. 30 against the Florida Panthers.

In five games with the B-Sens this season, Elliott has posted a 3-1-1 record with a 2.10 goals-against-average and a .924 save percentage. He last saw action on Friday, Oct. 24, making 25 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Syracuse Crunch.

Elliott has made one career National Hockey League regular-season appearance, stopping 28 of 29 shots while collecting the victory in a 3-1 Ottawa win over the Atlanta Thrashers on Oct. 10, 2007.

The Binghamton Senators (4-1-1-1) next see action on Friday, Oct. 31, whey they host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
