Bulletin: Senators Assign Elliott To AHL's Binghamton

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today assigned goaltender Brian Elliott to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

In his lone appearance with the Senators this season Elliott stopped 28 of 29 shots, collecting his first National Hockey League victory in a 3-1 Ottawa win over the Atlanta Thrashers on Oct. 10.

The 2007-08 campaign is the first full professional season for the 22-year-old Elliott, who enjoyed a decorated National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) goaltending career at the University of Wisconsin. Elliott had played in 86 games over his four-year college career (85 starts), recording a 51-27-6 record, a 1.78 goals-against average and .931 save percentage.

Binghamton (1-2-0-0) next sees action on Friday, Oct. 19, when it visits the Norfolk Admirals.
