OTTAWA SENATORS AND RADIO CJRC 1150 TEAM-UP FOR TWO SEASONS
Relationship grows to a 12th and 13th season
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators and Radio CJRC 1150 announced today the return of the club for a twelfth season to the airwaves of the French broadcaster, through a new two-year agreement.
The Senators and CJRC have agreed to a minimum 63-game schedule - 41 home and 22 road games.
"We are very pleased to be extending our partnership with CJRC for the next two seasons," said Roy Mlakar, president and chief executive officer of the Ottawa Senators. "They have been the voice of the Senators in the Outaouais since our return to the NHL in 1992."
"It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we renew our partnership with the Ottawa Senators, one of the NHL's most credible organizations," said Sylvie Charette, general manager of Radio CJRC 1150. "CJRC 1150 partnered with the team from its inception and is actively getting ready to broadcast the team's performances as the exclusive French radio broadcaster. CJRC 1150 is the voice of the Outaouais and the voice of the Ottawa Senators."
The French radio broadcasts of Senators games returns to the airwaves with the opening game of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 5 with a visit to the Air Canada Centre to face the Toronto Maple Leafs.
CJRC's on-air team returns with Michel Langevin providing the play-by-play of the action and Alain Sanscartier as game analyst.
