Comrie had his second 30-goal season in 2005-06 with Phoenix, and added as many assists for another 60-point campaign.

Comrie spent two seasons at the University of Michigan (Central Collegiate Hockey Association) from 1998-99 to 1999-2000, totalling 103 points (43-60) in 82 games. In 1999-2000, Comrie was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award (as the National Collegiate Athletic Association's outstanding player) in addition to being named to the CCHA First All-Star Team and NCAA West Second All-American Team.
