Bulletin: Sen Alumni To Host Hockey Classic In Support Of Camp Smitty

OTTAWA – The Senators Alumni announced today they will host the Ottawa Senators Alumni Hockey Classic from Nov. 14 to Nov. 16 at the Bell Sensplex.


The 30-team charitable hockey tournament guarantees three games for each of the participating teams, team VIP passes to the event’s hall of fame reception on Nov. 14, interaction with the Sens alumni and several terrific gifts. Teams can sign up for $1,500, with all monies raised from the tournament going to support the rejuvenation of Camp Smitty.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be the hall of fame reception on Friday, Nov. 14. This event includes a buffet dinner and will feature special guests from the 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs, including Bobby Baun, Johnny Bower, Brian Conacher, Ron Ellis, Larry Hillman and Eddie Shack. Tables for the event cost $1,500.

The Ottawa Senators Alumni have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa to rejuvenate and expand Camp Smitty; the Sens alumni have committed $500,000 towards this objective.
