GATINEAU, Que. - The La Cage aux Sports restaurants in Hull and Gatineau, and the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club announced today a new partnership. This agreement will strengthen the Senators' imprint in the two Outaouais restaurants through the broadcast of four promotional games this season and a promotion directed at Outaouais minor hockey players.
"This partnership highlights La Cage aux Sports restaurants' commitment to promote hockey in the National Capital Region," said Jacques Laviolette, franchise owner of the Gatineau restaurant. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"This business and community partnership with La Cage aux Sports restaurants, through Groupe Sportscene, allows us to strengthen our marketing plan in the Outaouais region," said Claude Allain, Senators corporate sales representative in the region. "This will give us good penetration into the Outaouais sports community."
The La Cage aux Sportsi n Hull and Gatineau will broadcast the Senators games on Jan. 30, Feb. 7, and March 6 and 30. On these dates, both restaurants will host the Senators Molson Export Powerplay Nights, which will also feature draws for autographed Senators jerseys.
Draw for a suite to see your Senators and a Fantasy Camp experience
During each of the Senators Molson Export Powerplay Nights at the restaurants, fans can fill out ballots for a chance to win a suite for 12 people for the Senators game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday, April 5. The winner will be drawn from two finalists during the broadcast of the Senators and Montreal Canadiens game on Friday, March 30. The winning name will be announced on the Le snooze show on Énergie 104.1 Radio on Monday, April 2.
In addition, during the broadcasts of Senators games at La Cage in Gatineau on Jan. 30 and March 6, and at La Cage in Hull on February 7 and March 30, two teams from recreational leagues per night will win a Fantasy Camp experience at Scotiabank Place.
Joint promotion with minor hockey in Gatineau
This agreement also highlights support for minor hockey in the region. During the month of January, the Senators and La Cage aux Sports, in co-operation with Transport Thom, will hold a draw in each restaurant for a minor hockey team to win 40 tickets to a Senators game on Feb. 17 at Scotiabank Place. The prize includes a game-day lunch at the Gatineau and Hull La Cage aux Sports restaurants and transportation to Scotiabank Place complements of Transport Thom.
