The Ottawa Senators will celebrate the 2010 NHL Entry Draft with two draft parties on Friday, June 25: at Bert’s located inside Scotiabank Place in Ottawa and at the Boston Pizza location at 61 Boul. de la Gappe in Gatineau.
The draft parties, presented by Molson, Team 1200 radio, the Ottawa Citizen, 104,7 Souvenirs Garantis Radio and Le Droit, are set to run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature prizes, interactive games, a visit by Spartacat, the Senators Power Patrol (Bert’s location only) and the Molson extreme team. It will also include a special live draft day broadcast on Team 1200 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., which will be hosted by Jon Abbott, Lee Versage and Kenny Walls in addition to a live broadcast on Souvenirs Garantis from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., hosted by Senators analyst Nicolas St-Pierre at Boston Pizza. The evening’s activities at Bert’s will be hosted by Senators broadcaster Gord Wilson.
With broadcast coverage of the entry draft scheduled to commence at 7 p.m. on TSN and RDS, guests attending the free parties will also be able to participate in ‘Hot Stove’ panel discussions with Senators assistant coaches Greg Carvel and Brad Lauer at Bert’s beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Prizes to be won during the draft parties include club seats for the Senators 2010-11 regular-season opening night game and signed team merchandise.

Ottawa holds the 16th overall selection in this year’s NHL Entry Draft. Since the Senators first participated in the draft in 1992, 161 players have been selected by the team – 52 of those players have gone on to play at least one game for Ottawa.
