Bulletin: GM Sens Street Tour makes a stop at Super Ex

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators GM Sens Street Tour, the interactive travelling caravan for hockey fans of all ages, will visit Super Ex at Lansdowne Park for the third consecutive year. The Street Tour will take part in Sens Day at Super Ex on Thursday (Aug. 23), featuring pre-season ticket giveaways, face painting, interactive activities and displays, including the Prince of Wales trophy, and a visit from Senators players Chris Kelly and Brian McGrattan.

The Senators mascot Spartacat will welcome fans through the gates of Super Ex beginning at 11:30 a.m..  The first 300 fans attending Super Ex wearing a Senators jersey, t-shirt, or their minor hockey jersey will receive a voucher for a free pre-season ticket. 

In conjunction with General Motors, the GM Sens Street Tour will feature its hardest shot and accuracy shooting inflatables, along with a merchandise tent and Spartacat, the club’s official mascot.  The player and Spartacat greeting sessions are as follows:

11:30 a.m. – Noon    Meet Senators mascot Spartacat
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.    Chris Kelly and Brian McGrattan
3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.    Meet Spartacat

With the launch of the Senators new uniforms on the previous day, fans can receive a ballot to enter to win a set of four NEW Senators jerseys for their family and four pre-season tickets.  Fans will receive a ballot just inside the main gate of Super Ex by wearing a Senators jersey, t-shirt, or their minor hockey jersey.  The grand prize draw will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Super Ex. 

From the opening of Super Ex at 11:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m., the Prince of Wales trophy will be on display just inside the main gates for fans to see and have their photo taken (fans are encouraged to bring their own cameras).
