Bulletin: Five regular season home games remain on Senators schedule

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - With less than one calendar month remaining in the 2009-10 regular season, Sens fans have only five more opportunities to watch the team play live at Scotiabank Place. Fans are encouraged to wear red at each remaining home game in support of the Senators’ Push for the Playoffs. The Sens visit the Flames in Calgary tonight looking to re-join Buffalo atop the Northeast Division standings with a victory.

Fewer than 200 tickets remain as the Senators return home to conclude their regular-season series with the provincial rival Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday, March 16, at 7:30 p.m. Ottawa trails the season series by one victory following a 2-1 shootout setback last Saturday night in the nation’s capital.

The Senators conclude the home portion of their March schedule with games against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, March 27 against the Florida Panthers. Currently, fewer than 2,250 tickets remain for the game against Philadelphia, with 200 seats available in the Coke Zero Zone priced at only $17 including taxes.

The season’s final month also features two home games. The Carolina Hurricanes visit Scotiabank Place on Thursday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m., for Fan Appreciation Night. The game against Carolina is sponsored by Metro, providing fans with the opportunity to score four tickets, four hotdogs and four drinks starting at only $99.

Fewer than 1,750 tickets remain for the Senators’ regular season finale on Saturday, April 10, at 7 p.m. The game against the Buffalo Sabres will feature a celebratory tribute to long-time Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson in recognition of his 1,000th NHL game. Alfredsson is currently scheduled to play in the milestone contest against the Panthers on April 6 in Sunrise, Fla., and would become only the 44th player in NHL history to play 1,000 games for one franchise. Each fan in attendance of will receive a free commemorative T-shirt in recognition of the historic event.
