OTTAWA - Only 9,500 tickets are up for grabs for what remains of the Ottawa Senators' February home schedule. The six-game run starts Thursday with a tightly contested Northeast Division race against the Montreal Canadiens and wraps up with a visit from the Stanley Cup-champion Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 28. Over the first 28 regular-season games, the Senators have had 19 sellouts and an average attendance of 19,181.
Fewer than 750 tickets remain for this week's meeting against the Canadiens on Thursday, Feb. 8. Next week's schedule at Scotiabank Place features fewer than 3,000 tickets available for the game against Jacques Martin's Florida Panthers on Wednesday, Feb. 14, and 500 tickets for Marian Hossa's return with the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, Feb. 17.
The Edmonton Oilers make their only visit to Scotiabank Place this season on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and there are fewer than 1,500 tickets remaining. The Senators end the week with a match on Saturday, Feb. 24, against the Eastern Conference-leading Buffalo Sabres for which there are 250 tickets available.
The Hurricanes close out the month on Wednesday, Feb. 28, with fewer than 3,500 tickets remaining for the last game 2006-07 season series against Carolina.
Promotions during these February games include the GM Player Poster Giveaways, a Valentine's Day special and McDonald's Family Games.
The four poster games will feature Jason Spezza on Feb. 8 (Montreal), Ray Emery on Feb. 14 (Florida), Martin Gerber on Feb. 17 (Atlanta) and Mike Fisher on Feb. 20 (Edmonton).
The Senators game on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, offers a special $50 gift certificate at Jask Salon and Day Spa for every two single-game tickets purchased as of Feb. 13 for the game against the Panthers.
The Feb. 24 game against the Sabres and Feb. 28 meeting with the Hurricanes are McDonald's Family Games, featuring tickets starting at $21.37 (plus taxes).
