OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 7,500 tickets remain for the final seven games of the Senators' 2006-07 home schedule. Tomorrow night's battle for fourth place against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins is closing in on a sellout, which will be the 25th this season at Scotiabank Place. The Senators have averaged 19,250 in attendance through their first 34 home dates.
Fewer than 150 tickets remain for Thursday's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Next week's schedule at Scotiabank Place features fewer than 1,500 tickets available for the game against newly acquired Ryan Smyth and the New York Islanders on Thursday, March 15, and 2,000 tickets for the visit on Saturday, March 17, by the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Boston Bruins make their final visit to Scotiabank Place this season on Tuesday, March 27, with only 2,750 tickets remaining. The Senators end the month with a match on Thursday, March 29, against their division rival, the Montreal Canadiens. There are 50 tickets available for that game.
The Senators close out their regular-season schedule on Thursday, April 5, with fewer than 900 tickets remaining for their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
