Bulletin: Fewer than 50 tickets available for tomorrow’s game against Montreal

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 50 tickets remain for Saturday’s 2 p.m. home game against the Montreal Canadiens. The Senators and Canadiens officially launch the 10th annual Hockey Day in Canada with the first of three Hockey Night in Canada all-Canadian broadcasts on CBC with their game tomorrow at Scotiabank Place.

Saturday’s matchup marks the Canadiens’ third and final regular-season visit to the nation’s capital and the fifth of six meetings between the clubs this season. Ottawa leads the season series with three previous victories. Montreal is currently one of four Eastern Conference teams with 55 points and trails the Atlanta Thrashers by one point for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings - one spot behind the Senators. First year Canadien Michael Cammalleri ranks eighth in the NHL with 26 goals and sits second (47 points) to Tomas Plekanec (52 points) for the team lead in scoring.

The Sens Foundation 50/50 jackpot on Saturday, Jan. 30, is expected to exceed the season high of $15,905 and has the potential to be worth as much as $50,000 to the lucky winner. Funds raised via the draw will support children’s charities in eastern Ontario and western Quebec. The Foundation recently donated $13,030 in support of the Haiti relief effort via funds raised from the 50/50 lottery in the Senators’ Jan. 21 home game against St. Louis.

Tickets for all remaining Senators regular-season home games are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting www.CapitalTickets.ca, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d’Orléans; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
