by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 3,500 tickets remain for Saturday’s 2 p.m. home game against the New York Rangers at Scotiabank Place. The matinee contest, which had originally been scheduled for 7 p.m., marks the first of two visits by the Rangers and the second of four afternoon starts at Scotiabank Place this season.

The Rangers are led by first-year Blueshirt Marian Gaborik, who currently ranks second in NHL scoring this season with 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists). Gaborik is tied for first among all players with six power-play goals. The Rangers lineup also features former Senators forward Vaclav Prospal (tied for 12th in league scoring) and defenceman Wade Redden.

Saturday’s 2 p.m. game is the last of three contests during Minor Hockey Week. Tickets in select areas will be available for half price, starting at $24 including all taxes, for minor hockey players.

Tickets for all November home games are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
