by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that fewer than 2,750 tickets remain for Tuesday’s 7:30 p.m. home game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Tomorrow’s matchup marks the only regular-season contest between the teams this year and the first since the Blackhawks’ 2-0 victory on Dec. 10, 2008, in Chicago. The Blackhawks currently lead the NHL standings with 72 points and a record of 34-11-4 through 49 games. Chicago netminder Antti Niemi leads the league with a 1.90 goals-against average and is tied for third among all goaltenders with four shutouts on the campaign. Leading the offensive charge for the Blackhawks is 21-year old Patrick Kane, who ranks sixth in league scoring with 56 points (20 goals, 36 assists).

Tickets for all remaining Senators regular-season home games are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at The Sens Store at Rideau Centre and Place d’Orléans; at any Ottawa Sports Experts location and at the Scotiabank Place box office.
