OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today 750 pairs of tickets (1,500 total) are available for the club's home-opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, Oct. 5 (7 p.m. start). The game will mark the back end of a home-and-home series as Ottawa opens the 2006-07 NHL season against Toronto at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday night (Oct. 4).
All fans in attendance will get free car flags and their first look at Scotiabank Place's new video projection system, which is capable of showing action footage on the building's ice surface.
Entering their 15th NHL season, the Senators will host their Plaza Party prior to the home-opener. Activities will begin at 5 p.m. and will include live entertainment and interactive elements of the GM Sens Street Tour. Senators merchandise, roaming entertainers and a barbecue will also be featured on the plaza as part of the festivities. The Plaza Party will carry over to the club's Kids Opening Night, which takes place on Saturday, Oct. 7, against the Buffalo Sabres.
