Senators defenceman Ben Harpur recorded assist on four of the team's six goals on Sunday night as they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs by a 6-2 margin. Here's what he had to say after the win...
On his comfort level:
It's definitely a lot different than last year, I was kind of nervous and you're playing with some big guys out here, a lot of guys who have a lot of games in the AHL, a lot of pro experience. Definitely coming back in my second year I feel a lot more comfortable out there and a lot more confident with the puck.
On his skating work:
It's always been big for me with the foot speed as a big guy. I've been working on it consistently and I'm still kind of growing into my body. The Sens have put a real emphasis on my foot speed so I feel like I'm up to speed with the guys we're playing here.
On potentially playing in NHL exhibition action:
I'm here with the mindset to stay in Ottawa as long as I can. I'm not going back to junior until they send me back so I've just got to leave the best impression I can.
