Bobby Ryan currently leads the NHL in shootout goal with 6 so far this season and we've put them all together in GIF form...
1. October 10th, 2015 vs the Toronto Maple Leafs
After squandering a 3-0 first period lead in Toronto, the Sens and Leafs were headed to a shootout in just the second game of the season. With his team down 1-0 after 3 shooters, Bobby stepped up and absolutely baffles James Reimer with a little "inside, outside" move to get the Sens on the board. Mike Hoffman would go on to seal the win for Ottawa in the very next round.
FINAL: Sens earn a 5-4 shootout win.
2. October 17th, 2015 vs the Nashville Predators
A late third period goal by Mike Hoffman sent the game into extra time and after an exciting overtime period failed to declare a winner, the Sens were once again off to a shootout. Bobby executes the exact same move he pulled off against Toronto but his lone shootout goal wouldn't be enough this time.
FINAL: Sens fall to the Predators 4-3 in a shootout.
3. October 22nd, 2015 vs the New Jersey Devils
The Devils scored in the final minute to force overtime but again no winner was decided so the Sens would be off to their 3rd shootout of the season's opening month. You have to assume there is a bit of a scouting report on Bobby after 2 spectacular goals to open the season so while Cory Schneider is anticipating the first little shoulder dip from Bobby, Ryan sends a quick shot low stick side that finds the corner. Bobby's lone goal would once again not be enough however.
FINAL: Sens lose 5-4 in overtime to the Devils.
4. November 5th, 2015 vs the Winnipeg Jets
Having scored earlier in the game, Bobby was picked to shoot first for the Sens in the eventual shootout. Armed with a pair of documented successful moves, it was up to Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson to figure out which one he was going to use this time. He guessed wrong.
FINAL: Sens take it 3-2 in a shootout.
5. November 14th, 2015 vs the New York Rangers
After each team notched goals early in the game, the offence dried up for the final 58 minutes and again a shootout was needed. Now entrenched as the Sens first shooter and one of the league's most automatic scorers in the shootout, Bobby methodically weaves his way towards Henrik Lundqvist before spotting (and finding) an opening between his legs to get the Sens on the board early. Unfortunately, the Rangers answered back with a pair of goals of their own and the Sens came up just short.
FINAL: Sens fall to the Rangers 2-1 in a shootout.
6. February 16th, 2015 vs the Buffalo Sabres
While he may have gone a long time between shootout goals it's a little deceiving. The Sens only had 2 shootout games between these two goals and Bobby didn't even shoot in one of them. But facing an old teammate, Robin Lehner, who has probably seen every one of his moves in practice really wasn't a factor as Ryan walked in and calmly went five-hole. Kyle Turris sealed the win with a goal in the very next round.
FINAL: Sens beat the Sabres 2-1 in a shootout.
