Anderson to start in Washington

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

With a playoff berth on the line tonight it's no surprise that the Sens will be turning to Craig Anderson to help seal the deal tonight in Washington.

It'll be Anderson's third start against the Caps this season.

This season Anderson is 2-0 against Washington with a 1.50 GAA and .942 save percentage with both wins coming on home ice. While he has yet to make the trip to Washington yet during this abbreviated season he has been solid on the road despite a 3-6-1 record, boasting a 1.80 GAA and .937 save percentage.

In his career against Washington, Anderson is 7-5-1 with a 2.54 GAA and .921 save percentage.

He'll be opposed by Michal Neuvirth tonight. In six career games against the Sens, Neuvirth is 4-1 with a 1.82 GAA and .935 save percentage. He was in goal earlier this season when the Sens defeated the Caps by a 3-2 score at Scotiabank Place in January.
