Michael Amadio is going to get his chance with the Ottawa Senators.

Acquired from Los Angeles on March 29, Amadio made his Sens debut Thursday centering a line with Drake Batherson and Tim Stützle as his wings.
"Those are two skilled guys who have had a good start to the year so it was a lot of fun to play with them," Amadio said.
The 24-year-old played 18:23 and spent 1:51 on the power play and won eight of his 14 faceoffs.
"He's playing with puck possession guys and I think he compliments them," Senators head coach D.J. Smith said. ""He's a real smart kid [with] an offensive touch and can make plays," Sens head coach D.J. Smith said. "We're going to try and put him in some offensive situations, put him on the power play and see what he can do."
The Sault Ste. Marie native had played 20 games with the Kings this season, tallying two assists. A third-round pick in 2014, he has 16 goals and 39 points in 169 NHL games.
He admits that trade came as a surprise to him but had an inkling that something might happen. After completing his mandatory quarantine, he met up with teammates and was straight into the Sens lineup.
"It's a good group of guys to come into," Amadio said. "They were welcoming and made me feel at home. It was a good first game to get under my belt."
In Ottawa, he's re-united with Nicholas Paul after the pair of them spent three seasons together in the OHL in North Bay that was highlighted by a run to the OHL Finals in 2015 where they were beaten by Smith's Oshawa Generals in six games.
"We'll give him a chance here and see how it goes," Smith said.
