Ceremony timing details
The jersey retirement ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Fans are asked to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. sharp to enjoy the entire program. Doors to Canadian Tire Centre will open for guests at 5:30 p.m.
The ceremony is scheduled to have a duration of approximately 45 minutes. The show will contain speeches, special guests, videos and a tribute to Alfredsson. The ceremony will happen before the player warm-up which is scheduled for 7:29 p.m. Puck drop for the Senators game versus Detroit will take place at 8:08 p.m.
Hosts
The jersey retirement ceremony and game will include five voices on Thursday night. Dean Brown and Gord Wilson along with Nicolas St-Pierre will host the ceremony, while Stu Schwartz will act as the in-game sideline reporter interviewing various guests during the evening. Jonathan Trottier will serve as the public address announcer during the game.
Fan Giveaway
All fans in attendance at the Dec. 29 game will receive a mini-replica of the Alfredsson banner that will be raised to the rafters. These gifts will be placed on the seats awaiting fans as they arrive to Canadian Tire Centre.
Ceremony broadcast information
The Alfredsson ceremony will be broadcast live on TSN5, TSN1200 and Unique 94,5 FM. RDS INFO will populate regular programming with live updates.

Standing room tickets have now been released to the Dec. 29 game, while a limited number of ticket releases are available in the 300 level. For information on ticket availability, fans can visit ottawasenators.com/tickets or Ticketmaster.ca.
Ottawa Senators Foundation 50/50 draw
As part of the special evening on Thursday, the Ottawa Senators Foundation will be seeding the 50/50 draw with $11,000 to start the evening. The 50/50 draw is expected to have its largest jackpot to date this season.
