by Kevin Sylvester / Buffalo Sabres

A hat trick of guests joined Andrew Peters and me on Hockey Hotline. Rochester native, and Tampa Bay Lightning forward, Ryan Callahan joined us at the start of the show to recap his season that ended with a loss in the Stanley Cup Finals to Chicago. Callahan gave insight to his rapid return from having his appendix removed in the Eastern Conference Final, and the emotion of facing and beating his former team, the New York Rangers. Former Sabres forward JP Dumont phoned in from Nashville, where he coached the Jr. Predators. Dumont gave his opinion on the opportunity that Cody Hodgson will have in Nashville, and if Danny Briere can still play in the NHL.

Drew Stafford re-signed and looks to have a large role, and Beyak expects Tyler Myers to pick up where he left off at the end of the season. He also mentioned that he believes the fresh start with Buffalo will benefit Evander Kane.
