He is best known for a scary moment at the Aud on March 22, 1989. But to only talk about that night is to ignore the rest of his NHL career,  and for that matter, his life. A roller-coaster ride of personal torture and triumph.

Clint Malarchuk will forever be linked to the Sabres, thanks to a skate blade slashing his jugular vein.  That incident set off a chain of events in Clint¹s personal life that are still playing out today.

He is now the goaltending consultant for the Atlanta Thrashers. But it has been a long, winding road to get there.
