Approximately 2,500 people traveled to HSBC Arena for the 26th annual Super Sunday, showcasing premier high school hockey in Western New York. The tournament began at 8 a.m. and saw 14 local teams compete.

WNY CLUB LEAGUE SMALL SCHOOL
Maryvale 3, Cheektowaga 0
Phil Hinterberger claimed the shutout for the Flyers. Aaron Wanat scored the game-winning goal early in the first period to give Maryvale the 1-0 lead. Craig Januszkiewicz and Zac Carlisle also added goals in the third period.
WNY CLUB LEAGUE LARGE SCHOOL
Jamestown 4, City Honors/O'Hara 2
Jamestown rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat City Honors/O'Hara 4-2. Devin Kiblin net a pair of scores to give CHO the lead through the second period before Steve Rabent put Jamestown on the board with 1:40 left in the middle frame. The Red Raiders went on to tie the game after a goal from Eric Bruder. Mike Merenick score the game-winner with two minutes left in the third period and Rabent sealed the win with his second goal of the night with an empty net.
EXPLORER CLUB LEAGUE
Akron 4, Niagara Catholic 2
Akron's Peter Kamierczak netted a hat trick to lead his squad to a 4-2 win over Niagara Catholic. Tyler Przesiek also lit the lamp for Akron. Niagara Catholic's scoring was provided by Brian Clause and Marc Pusmucans.
SOUTHTOWNS CLUB LEAGUE
Iroquois Alden 4, Canisius 2
Vincent Olivier and Matthew Schwandt gave Canisius an early 2-0 lead. However, it wasn't enough to defeat Iroquois Alden. Mike Kueker and Andrew Atkinson quickly tied things up at 2-2, before Mike Dessoye gave the Chiefs the lead in the second period. Dessoye later sealed the win with an empty net goal for a 4-2 final score.
FEDERATIONS SMALL SCHOOL
Amherst 3, Sweet Home 2
Amherst claimed it's first cham in 19 years with a 3-2 win over Sweet Home. Alex May, TJ Kaszubski and Kyle Dains added goals for the Tigers. Matthew Beaudet began a rally for the Panthers late in the game, netting two goals to close the gap, but it wasn't enough to seal the win. Kaszubski was named as the game's MVP, as he also scored an assist on the night.
FEDERATION LARGE SCHOOL
Williamsville North 2, Niagara Wheatfield 0
Jake Rosen provided all the scoring that was needed, netting a pair of goals to lead Williamsvill North to a 2-0 win against Niagara Wheatfield. Parker Gahagen stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
Canisius 4, St. Francis 0
Canisius claimed a 4-0 shutout against St. Francis to conclude the Super Sunday event at HSBC Arena. Paul Stenig, Sean McHugh, Alex barilec and Colin Burns each scored in the victory for Canisius. Dylan Arnold earned the shutout, making 29 saves.
