For those who thought they'd never see Jason Pominville and Jack Eichel share the ice as Sabres, last night must have been a beautiful sight. Just three months ago Pominville was a face of the franchise's past; Eichel was the face of the future.
Worlds collided when the two made their preseason debuts against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night, and both looked pretty darn good in the present. Pominville scored two goals, including one on a perfect feed from Eichel, and Eichel scored in overtime as the Sabres won 4-3.

Will this be the beginning of a consistent line with Evander Kane, Eichel and Pominville? Only time will tell, but here's a bit of what Eichel had to say after the game:
"You see his hands around the net, there's a reason he's scored as many goals as he has in this League and he's been playing as long as he has. He's a smart player and we'll continue to build chemistry," Eichel said. "That happens in practice, happens in games, watching video together. I think that's something that continues to get better. It's good that we were able to get a few tonight and we're going to continue to work."
