Big weekend. The Sabres got back on track with a pair of victories to snap a 0-2-2 skid. A 3-0 win on Saturday against Florida was followed up with a 3-1 victory over the Jets on Sunday in Winnipeg.
Here's what you need to know on this Halloween morn.

Kyle Okposo had a big weekend with three goals, including a pair against the Jets. He's now tied for the team lead in goals with four and points with seven. He's said that he's needed to bear down on his chances, and he's certainly doing so now.

Nice to see a smile on Dan Bylsma's face again.

And here's the captain, who also scored yesterday.

The Sabres received great performances from their goaltenders in both wins. Anders Nilsson had 33-save shutout over the Panthers and Robin Lehner made 37 saves yesterday in his first start in three games as he recovered from an illness.
Buffalo overcame late penalty trouble in both games to hang on. It seems like they've learned some lessons from the last few losses and the results are showing on the ice. The team defense overall has been stellar and that's helped make life easier for the netminders.

Still, Lehner and Nilsson have had to come up with great saves like these, which help make highlight reels more exciting.

If you missed anything from Saturday's game, check out yesterday's Sharpen Up.

Medical report

Nicolas Deslauriers left Saturday's game in the final minute with a lower-body injury. To take his spot in the lineup, the Sabres recalled Nick Baptiste from Rochester. However, the Sabres found themselves down to 11 forwards early on against Winnipeg when Hudson Fasching sustained a groin injury and couldn't play on.
We'll have to see if Buffalo will have to make any call ups for their game tomorrow night against the Wild. They're practicing at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul at 2 p.m. ET today.

Sabres Style is back

We'll be holding our first "Sabres Style Girls Night Out" event of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at our home game against the Ottawa Senators. Sabres Style presented by Coca-Cola is a social event designed to celebrate Buffalo's hockey-minded women. Join us for a pregame happy hour in the KeyBank Lounge in the 200 Level of KeyBank Center starting at 6 p.m. where you can meet alumni and hang out with other fans.
The evening also includes access to the Gold Carpet Experience where you can cheer the Sabres back onto the ice at the end of an intermission.
