The NHL Scouting Combine rolled through Buffalo this past week and wrapped up on Saturday with the final day of fitness testing for the top prospects of the 2017 NHL Draft.

Sabres.com was on the scene. Here's what you need to know.

Brian Duff has your video recap here, which includes some interviews with the projected Top 2 picks (Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier) as well as Dan Marr, the director of NHL Central Scouting:

And Jourdon LaBarber talked to some other prospects about what the week was like for them. Not only did the prospects undergo physical testing, but they had the opportunity to interview with teams.

What made the interview with Buffalo stand out more to some prospects? Who said they met with Buffalo? Who grew up a Sabres fan? Check it all out in the Combine recap.

What did those prospects have to go through? Lauren Hall and Jason Jerome of IMPACT Sports Performance walked through each station:

Who crushed the testing? From NHL.com:

Center Joshua Norris of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program was among the most impressive performers in the fitness testing at the NHL Scouting Combine.

Norris, No. 34 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters, finished first in five of the tests Saturday, including peak power output on the Wingate bike test.
