After practice, Ennis said he would meet with doctor and the training staff and evaluate where he's at. He's missed the last 27 games after undergoing groin surgery. He seemed skeptical about a return to the lineup tonight, but we'll see what happens at today's morning skate.
Carrier lost 13 pounds due to an illness, but he could figure back into the lineup.

A little ditty 'bout Jack and Sam
The real noteworthy change is Reinhart back on Eichel's wing. Jourdon LaBarber has more on that:
The numbers don't lie: With nine points in his last nine games, Sam Reinhart is currently in the midst of the most productive stretch of his young NHL career. Whether or not he felt it's been his best stretch was another question altogether, and he took a second to think before answering that question on Monday.
"Yeah, probably," Reinhart said. "I, mean, numbers-wise sure, yeah, but just how I'm feeling consistency-wise, the consistency has stepped up and in an 82-game schedule that's the most important thing you can have."
At age 21, Reinhart is on pace to score 50 points this season, up from the 42 he scored as a rookie in 2015-16. How he's gotten those points, however, has changed significantly. Reinhart had 19 assists in 79 games last season; he already has 16 in 39 games this season.

And if he dresses, tonight's game will be the 100th game of Jack Eichel's career.
According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Eichel's totals through 99 games already rank him in the top 15 in franchise history among players through their first 100 career games in goals (32,12th), assists (38, 13th) and points (70, 15th).
Among all Sabres in franchise history with at least 100 games played for the team, Eichel's current rates would rank him 22nd in goals per game (.32), 36th in assists per game (.38) and 27th in points per game (.71).
In their second full NHL seasons, Eichel and Reinhart have each improved on their points per game totals from 2015-16. Their 82-game pace is in parentheses.
