The Buffalo Sabres and the Independent Health Foundation announced today they are partnering on the Community Assist program, a community initiative to assist those in need. The Community Assist program will include a winter clothing drive this month.
Fans attending the games at HSBC Arena- Dec. 10 against the Boston Bruins, Dec. 12 against the New York Islanders, Dec. 15 against the Chicago Blackhawks or Dec. 21 against the Philadelphia Flyers- are encouraged to bring new or slightly used winter clothing, including: hats, gloves, coats, boots, scarves, sweaters, etc. All proceeds will benefit the Buffalo City Mission.
Dick's Sporting Goods is also supporting the Community Assist program and will be a collection site to donate clothes for the Winter Clothing Drive. Items can also be dropped off at all Buffalo area locations from December 7-23.
Rob Ray will kick-off the Community Assist Winter Clothing Drive from 5-6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 at the Dick’s Sporting Goods location on Transit Rd. in Williamsville.
