Autograph sessions with Buffalo Sabres players and family-friendly food and drink specials highlight the NHL Entry Draft Party at HSBC Arena on Friday, June 20 from 5-9 p.m. The event is free and open to fans of all ages. Parking is also free in the arena ramp.
Sabres fans are invited to come down to HSBC Arena to watch televised coverage of the 2008 Entry Draft live from Scotiabank Place in Ottawa at 7 p.m. In addition, Sabres TV host Kevin Sylvester will provide interviews from Ottawa with Sabres draft picks and hockey personnel. WGR Sports Radio 550 will broadcast live pre-draft coverage from HSBC Arena with hosts Mike Schopp and The Bulldog.
Food specials for the night will feature five items for $2 or less: hot dogs ($2), soda ($1.50), bottled water ($1.50), candy ($2) and 12 oz. beer/wine ($2).
In addition to dressing room tours, kids will also have the opportunity to experience several interactive games and play street hockey on the floor of HSBC Arena. Kids are asked to bring their own sticks, and all children under 12 must also bring and wear a helmet.
Fans are also encouraged to stop by the Sabres Store for their annual end-of-season sale beginning at 3 p.m. The sale includes a “buy one, get one free” special on “Better Days” or “Rick Jeanneret’s Roll the Highlight Film” DVD’s.
The Account Services office will be open to accept season ticket holder payments, as the first one is due that day.
