Training camp is winding down, which means the Buffalo Sabres will have to make some big decisions soon when it comes to their roster.
They will play in their penultimate preseason game tonight when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets at KeyBank Center.
"We're pleased with this group that's out there right now and we kept such a big roster because of how well everybody's performed in training camp," Sabres head coach Ralph Krueger said on Tuesday. "So, we'd be comfortable with any mix of these 12 forwards starting for us.
"It will all come down to the kind of synergies we're looking for in the lines and the balance we need between some grit and skill, some power play, some penalty kill. All of that's going to play out in the end, not necessarily the effort of any individual."
With that in mind, here's the roster for tonight's game:

Forwards
9 Jack Eichel
13 Jimmy Vesey
17 Vladimir Sobotka
21 Kyle Okposo
23 Sam Reinhart
28 Zemgus Girgensons
37 Casey Mittelstadt
53 Jeff Skinner
68 Victor Olofsson
71 Evan Rodrigues
72 Tage Thompson
90 Marcus Johansson
Defense
6 Marco Scandella
8 Casey Nelson
10 Henri Jokiharju
26 Rasmus Dahlin
33 Colin Miller
55 Rasmus Ristolainen
58 John Gilmour
Goaltenders
35 Linus Ullmark
40 Carter Hutton

Scott Wilson returned to practice yesterday, but he's been out since Friday with a lower-body injury and will not play tonight. Johan Larsson (upper body) and Conor Sheary (lower body) are day-to-day with injuries. On defense, Buffalo is without Zach Bogosian (hip), Matt Hunwick (neck) Brandon Montour (hand) and Lawrence Pilut (shoulder). Goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen remains out as he's rehabbing from offseason hip surgery.
