Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have recalled defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani from Portland of the American Hockey League.

Gragnani (3/11/1987, 6’1”, 180 lbs.) is fourth among all AHL blueliners with 30 points (4+26) in 44 games this season. Gragnani is fifth on Portland in scoring, and his 26 assists are tied for the team lead. He is also +3, along with 34 PIMs. This will be Gragnani’s second NHL recall to Buffalo; he appeared in two games last season.

A native of Montreal, QC, Gragnani was Buffalo’s 3rd round selection (87th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
