Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black today announced that Brent Rossi has joined the team as vice president of brand strategy and marketing. In his role, Rossi will serve as the leader of all marketing functions, including the development of strategy for brand management and enhancement, cross-promotional opportunities and brand extension initiatives.

“We are very excited to have Brent join the organization,” Black said.  “He brings with him a proven record of successful marketing and branding initiatives within diverse sports properties.  The Sabres brand is a powerful one that lives where our fans are.  Brent will help us make the Sabres brand stronger not only in the Niagara region, but also throughout the hockey world.”

Rossi comes to the Sabres with a decade of experience in professional sports marketing. Most recently, Rossi served as the vice president of marketing for the Harlem Globetrotters. His experience also includes stints as senior manager of live event marketing with World Wrestling Entertainments, director of marketing for the Philadelphia 76ers and marketing manager for Comcast-Spectator.

Rossi earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Brock University and a master’s degree in sports management from Old Dominion University.
